After the fall of the Communist regime in 1989, MEFIN became a publicly-traded company registered with the Prahova County Chamber of Commerce and Industry, registration no. J29/105/05.03.1991. In June 2003, the Romanian Government sold MEFIN to DCI WALBRIDGE PARTNERS, Ltd. (�DCIWP�), a member of the WALBRIDGE GROUP, based in Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A. (www.walbridge.com). DCIWP currently owns more than 80% of MEFIN.

DCIWP installed a new management team and commenced a Strategic Turnaround Program focused on investment in training, infrastructure, equipment and new products. The focus of the Strategic Turnaround Program is to bring MEFIN�s quality and manufacturing efficiency to Western standards, and to create a manufacturing platform that will ensure the long-term viability of MEFIN as a successful company.
